Modern Hypocrites Minute Track 3: Elvis - Can't Help Falling In Love - I want to use this series of live recordings to spotlight songs that inspired me to learn guitar and write songs. The third song I want to spotlight is Can't Help Falling In Love. I was first exposed to this song from my Aunt Mary aka Mimi. Mimi used to watch me all the time while my Mom and Dad worked Full-Time at Tastykake. Mimi's great love in life was ELVIS. She loved ELVIS that she had an entire room of her house dedicated to him not so creatively called "The Elvis Room" of course. Most of my earliest musical memories came from that room. The song has been covered by Bob Dylan and UB40 had a major hit with the song in 1993, but those covers weren't for me. You just cannot top Elvis' silky smooth voice. I've never really covered Elvis songs for that very reason. I did have the band cover "Suspicious Minds" for a while because I loved how people reacted to it at live shows. I just recently finished Sunderland Til I Die a fantastic documentary on Netflix so I decided to pick this song and I'd like to send this out to their fantastic supporters and to Mimi. #ModernHypocritesMinute
